PLAY+SOFT

Ecology

PLAY+SOFT products use ECOSOFTX®, an environmentally friendly synthetic fabric that complies with OEKO-Tex Standard 100 Certification for products in direct contact with the skin. The materials contain no PVC or rubber latex. We developed this proprietary synthetic formula exclusively for the PLAY+ range. Moreover, the fabric is produced using a non-polluting process and does not release harmful substances during use.

Materials

PLAY+SOFT offers a collection of furnishings made from sofficel®, a fireproof polyurethane foam available in various densities. This foam is covered with ECOSOFTX®, which has several innovative properties: it is soft to the touch, water-repellent, easy to clean, mould-resistant, odourless, resistant to abrasion, colour-stable over time, and ecological. The covers are removable, class 1 IM fire-retardant, and crib 5 fireproof. They meet standards BS 5852:1990, section 4 and UNI 9175, tested at LSF (02/05/05), and European standards EN 1021-1 and EN 1021-2 (CSI – 11.10.07 – DC01/782F07). The sofficel foam density ranges from 28kg/m3 to 50kg/m3 and meets fire safety standards BS 5852: part 2, crib 5, California Tech 117, MVSS std 302, FAR25853, Airbus ATD 1000.01.

Current certifications also include permeability (blood and urine test) and durability (Martindale abrasion rating +200,000).

Safety

PLAY+SOFT products use soft, pliable, and deformable materials to protect children from accidental impacts and falls. Introducing soft elements instead of traditional hard furniture significantly increases safety and enhances the material and sensory complexity of each space.

PLAY+SOLID

Materials

The PLAY+SOLID line uses a variety of materials: FSC-certified hardwoods (birch, beech, ash), natural or water-painted, or lacquered; steel; MDF; high-pressure laminates with various finishes; ABS safety edging; rubber; linoleum; and reinforced, layered (Class 1B1) safety glass. Importantly, our wood components have class E1 formaldehyde content. Additionally, all paints and colouring agents are non-toxic.

Certificates

Our chairs, tables, and storage units meet the highest European and British standards for ergonomics and structural stability, specified by BS 1729-1:2004, BS 1729-2:2004, and BS 1727:1998. Furthermore, play structures, such as the mirror triangle, have certification to BS 1176, and products carry the CE Mark when applicable. T.U.V. conducts testing and certification.

Moreover, ISAFF srl, our manufacturing partner, holds ISO 9001:2000 and environmental certification ISO 14001:2004.
