Together with over 30 designers from different countries, coordinated by ZPZ Partners’ art direction and supported by pedagogical consultants, PLAY+ brings diverse perspectives to the design process, creating environments for young children that reflect multiple cultures and ways of seeing the world.
ZPZ Partners
Founded in 1998, ZPZ Partners is a design firm specializing in architecture, interior design, and research. The studio focuses on innovative facilities and structures, combining conceptual vision with attention to sustainable architectural design, from meta-project development to construction management.
Led by senior partners Claudia Zoboli and Michele Zini, ZPZ Partners has delivered projects across Italy and internationally, in cities such as Tokyo, Dubai, Shanghai, San Francisco, Moscow, Seoul, and Mumbai. Their portfolio spans architecture (schools, preschools, infant-toddler centers, hospitals, shops, hotels), interior and furniture system design, as well as corporate and brand identity work (Motorola, Unilever Algida, Fap, Atlas).
The firm actively engages in research and teaching, collaborating with Domus Academy, Milan Politecnico, and Reggio Children:
— Since 1998, with the Milan Polytechnic Design Department on teaching and research.
— From 1995 to 2013, with Domus Academy, conducting Master’s workshops and research projects.
— Since 1994, with Reggio Children in exploring the relationship between pedagogy and architecture.
A key focus of ZPZ Partners is designing spaces for children, developed in close collaboration with Reggio Children and the Institution of Nidi and Preschools in Reggio Emilia. The firm has designed over forty schools, preschools, and infant-toddler centers in cities including Rome, Venice, Modena, San Francisco, New York, Milan, Mumbai, London, Abu Dhabi, Tokyo, and Al Ain.
